I See a Brown Chair and I want to paint it Black

4 Steps to refinish:

1. Lightly sand with medium grit sand paper all over
2. Prime with a furniture primer I used a brush but it would be easier to use a spray on primer
3. Paint two coats of color. I used dutch boy wall paint in "midnight"
4. Apply a furniture sealer. I used spray on semi gloss. This helps to clean and protect chairs from chipping.

I went for more of an Urban style but you could also sand the edges or apply a color stain for more of a country look. Stacie actually did her chairs in more of a matte finish with sanded edges maybe she will post a picture of them to show you how that looks. Happy Refinishing!
